The ocean and it's surrounding nature are most magnificent during winter. Sometimes, just sometimes, I miss the wind whipping through my hair. The other times, I remember how blessed I am, to witness moments like these.

As Salaamu Alaikum!

When I was in college, I took an Ecology course. The professor arranged for a field trip to the ocean - in January! The whole class was like, "WTF!" But, Alhamdulillah! I have never thought of winter and the ocean the same since. The ecology of the ocean in the winter is awesome.

I love your photos and I totally agree. I used to love watching the different seasons of the mediteranean sea (ok so it's not an ocean but it's water!) from my house in Lebanon. My favorite was when it was cold and sqaulid on the sea and it would turn deep blue. The fishermen would avoid the sea in the north and it would seem so calm and pristine by itself with no swimmers.
Water is one of the most beautiful things He created in my opinion.

ma shaa Allah sister, they are soooo gorgeous... what kind of camera do you use? *sniff* I am using a regular digital 6 and 8 pixel and know absolutely nothing about photography but ma shaa Allah, urs is so wonderful, I think you could sell them!

UmmTravis,

I used a digital SLR (canon)- but it is not just the camera, its the amount of practice- meaning that your pics are also beautiful and believe it or not, my top sellers were taken with a digital 4 megapixel kodak......I taught myself on that first, read a few books, used a few websites (photo.net & betterphoto.com are awesome tools). When I maxed out the features on my kodak, I upgraded. Obviously, with a better camera you can expand your horizons, but you will be amazed at what you can do if you do a little research and really focus! Enjoy the hobby- it is so much fun. Ill be checking your blog for more :)
